Parents as Coaches is a 6 months teleclass training program to empower parents to coach their own children. On this course parents develop the skills and tools to effectively guide and coach their children through the most challenging stages in their lives and learn to create the path for their success, personal growth and fulfilment. From observation and experience we can confirm, that parents who have the tools and techniques to guide their children, induce positive change in their family life and in the lives of their children.

This program is all about giving you the tools, techniques and skills for self-empowerment. This tool box is aid to the leadership in the family in a positive and effective way.

In this series of teleclasses you learn to become an expert at parenting and family life management. Enrol, learn, explore, use and succeed!

The program syllabus is as follows:

- Getting started:
This gives you an overview of the coaching techniques and tools that you learn throughout. We also talk about the structure of the classes.

- Pacing and leading:
This is a technique used in psychotherapy and coaching. Listen to your speaker, understand your speaker and acknowledge your speaker. Then guide your speaker through a change of perspective, so that the speaker sees the topic or situation from another angle.

- Socratic dialogue:
This method is used in coaching and psychotherapy to home in on the core issue.

- Non-aggressive communication:
This is a code for you to adhere to. You learn when to reach a consensus.

- Learn to use the following power tools to bring about positive changes:
- Respect versus Invalidation
- Acknowledgement versus Denial
- Understanding versus Criticising
- Supporting versus Laissez-Faire
- Objectivity versus Projection
- Comfort versus Righteousness
- Forgiveness versus Blaming

- Moving onwards techniques:
These are methods to structure the learning experience and to move on ahead. You learn to set attainable objectives, agree on them, enlist commitment, and design a "rewarding system" that is motivating, enthusing and energising.

In addition, we incorporate the following learning techniques in our classes:

- Mental training using affirmations, visualisations and conditioning
- Reframing Techniques
- Flower Remedies and their effects on the soul of the child
- Creative Learning as based on Suggestopaedie and Brain Gym Exercises
- Using "playing" as a therapeutic tool for children who need to release emotions and make sense of an experience or who want to tell the parent something in an indirect way
- How to use dolls and games for inner conflict resolution
